JACC Orchestra was established in May 2017. It consists of 46 permanent musicians, and up to 84 musicians and singers who participated in the Centre’s large-scale performances and events. The orchestra musicians are divided into 12 violinists, 4 cellists, 5 viola musicians and 7 percussion instrument players, 5 soloists on Oud, Qanun and other instruments. It also includes a choir consisting of 6 female voices and 6 male voices.
The Orchestra’s world class talents and its ability to meet the objective of the Centre’s musical programme throughout our cultural seasons were a primary motivation in presenting large-scale musical shows, unprecedented in Kuwait and the Gulf countries, that include dancing, acting, and other performance elements. JACC Orchestra plays a vital role in bringing all these elements together and in the huge success of these musical shows.
